The secret to life and the secret to money is in the love. Yes, it’s all about the love! When you can begin to have a romance with money and think of it as your long lost lover come home again to steal your heart, you will be well on your way to having and keeping a lot more of it. And, with this new shift in perception, you will find yourself responding to money in a much softer way and treating it very differently. Just as in any romantic liaison, there are certain traits, attitudes, behaviors that scare people away. Well, these very same things scare money away too. As you read this article, just notice if you can relate to any of the following.

1. Living in physical or mental clutter. I dated a fellow years ago who was very handsome and incredibly charming. After some time going out together, he invited me back to his place. I couldn’t believe my eyes when he opened the door and I walked inside. Total chaos, clutter everywhere, dead plants, piles of boxes and unread newspapers. In short, it was a disaster area. I felt so uncomfortable I had to LEAVE, with the emphasis on the word leave. If you want your money to show up and stay, clear the clutter out of your life, first in your physical space and then in your mind.

2. Being stingy with your money. Money comes to those who are generous in spirit. If you feel like you just don’t have enough money to give away or share with others, then the Universe will agree with you and you won’t. Argue for your limitations and they are yours.

3. Harboring angry feelings. Anger that has not been released in a positive way, can single-handedly destroy your relationship to money. It robs you of your inherent gifts and steals the joy from your heart. And in the process it steals all of your money.

4. Resenting other’s successes. Resentment closes your heart and your mind to opportunities that are all around you. When you are feeling resentful, you cannot see what is staring your right in the face, all kinds of opportunities to increase your cash flow. If you want to keep money flowing into your life, give up your resentments and start being happy for other peoples successes, knowing that it is getting closer to you.

5. Not keeping your word. If you would just commit to doing one thing this year, then choosing to keep your word, would have the most impact upon your life. Keep your word and keep your money!

6. Not taking responsibility for the money you already have. If you were to give a small child a very expensive toy and they abused it, you would not likely give them another one any time soon, until you were certain they could handle it and treat it better. Money is the same way. It comes to people who will handle it responsibly.

7. Taking money for granted. Do you like being taken for granted? Or does it make you feel warm and welcome when someone is really happy to see you and shows it. Does it make you feel cherished when they tell you how much they love and appreciate you. Muck like when you’ve been away all day and your dog runs to meet you at the door, unable to contain their joy at your arrival. Money is no different. Appreciate all the money you have and more of it will beat a path to your door.

“A great way to improve the quality of our life very quickly and dramatically is to celebrate it. The more we stop to acknowledge our accomplishments and victories along the way, the more of them we will have to celebrate. The better it gets, the better it gets.

We don’t have to hire a string quartet and order in a case of champagne to celebrate, although it would be nice.

We could just take a moment to quietly acknowledge ourselves and others, for our accomplishments along the way.

What 3 things could you acknowledge and celebrate about your life today and will you do so before your head hits the pillow tonight?”

If you are feeling like you have gotten a little “off track” with your intentions this year, not to worry. Be gentle with yourself. Take a few minutes to read today’s post, and just remember to “Keep On Dancing”.

What I have noticed lately, is that things don’t always seem to happen for the reasons we think, and that can be perfect for us. I started several projects in the last few weeks, that did not work out the way I thought they would, or the way I wanted them to, thank God.

Because they did not work out, space was created for something much better to come into my life. And so, I was able to better understand, that it is not always about the end result of a choice or a project, but how taking that step to go for it in the first place, makes you feel.

What is important, is that you take some inspired action, because your vibration while you are doing something that excites you, and you are passionate about, is what will bring you the essence of what you wanted in the first place. It just may not come from where you thought it would. What is so freeing about all of this, is that it removes a lot of the fear around moving forward, fear that you may fail, be disappointed again, or even embarrassed. It gives you the courage to just step up to the plate and go for it, no matter what the outcome.

If you are feeling stuck, and afraid to take the next step, or any step for that matter, you will never achieve the life of your dreams. Life is not always about being comfortable. It is about moving forward, out of your comfort zone.

And the interesting thing about it is, that the more steps you take, the stronger and more confident you feel inside, where it really matters, and pretty soon you begin to realize that there truly is nothing that you cannot do, that anything is possible, just as long as you keep on dancing.

Today, just a little something about the concept of detachment.

I think the easy parts about manifesting / creating those things that we want in our lives is the desire and the imagining. Those are the fun parts. For me the hard part is detachment.

Often we get attached to how it is going to come to us, or when, or where. And of course, this stops the flow. We get in our own way.

The secret is in the allowing and with the allowing comes the “letting go”.

To give you an example from my own life, several years ago, after being very happily single, I finally felt that I was ready for a committed relationship. I was happy, enjoying my independence and the wonderful home I had made for myself. However, I had arrived at the place of wanting to share my blessings with someone else. It felt like the right time in my life and so I simply made the decision to open my heart and allow it in.

I remember it was on a Saturday morning that I went over to my balcony window, with a view of the Rocky mountains, and stated my intention, more like an order, to the Universe. There were three things (which I am not going to get into here) that I knew I wanted in this person and so I added those to my order.

I was very clear and clean about what I wanted. I was totally unattached to the outcome. I was already living a happy, fulfilled life with loving and supportive friends and work that I enjoyed. This person would really only be the icing on the cake. He would definitely not be the actual cake. And so I stated my intention and I just let it go.

Later in the day, I got the feeling to go into my office, which was unusual for a Saturday. I had completely forgotten that I had put in my order that morning and the rest as they say is history. We have been together ever since.

I simply had a very clear desire about what I wanted, with no attachment to the outcome. I was happy and grateful for what I already had in my life. And viola! Instant Manifestation!

I am reminded here of a brilliant poem written by Rev. Safire Rose entitled “She Let Go” and these words: “In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.”

Perhaps today, right now, is the time to finally just let go, and let it all be.

Compliments of: Services Calgary

Be generous with your time …
Stay fully present with each encounter, as if this moment,
is the most important, and nothing else exists.

Be generous with your words …

Never miss an opportunity to tell someone how you feel about them,

or something they have done. A word of encouragement,

a note of appreciation, a sincere compliment,

can brighten someone’s day and even change a life.

Be generous with your thoughts …

Think the best of others, and see them as they would like to be,

and not as they are now.

Be generous with your money …

Find an occasion to share what you have with others.

Money is like love, the more you give away, the more returns to you.

Be generous with your heart …

Keep it open, no matter how frightening that may be sometimes.

An open heart will heal every ailment and restore peace to your soul.

Be generous with your smile …

Give it away to everyone you meet, and see the world reflected back to you,

in joyous celebration.

Be generous with your love …

It is who you really are, and why you came here,

and in the end,

it is all that really matters anyway.
